Let's Celebrate!

Do you ever catch yourself humming a familiar tune? I do. Lately, it has been “Happy Birthday” as the working group has been hard at work this year planning events to celebrate Rockville United Methodist Church’s 175th anniversary. 

​

Our celebrations kicked off with our participation in Peerless Rockville’s historic churches tour on September 28th. If you weren’t able to participate in the tour, take a few minutes to explore the church history display Don Christopher has set up in Wesley Hall. It’s quite impressive.

​

We will continue to celebrate our anniversary in October. On the 20th, I hope you will be able to join us at Asbury Methodist Village for a banquet featuring barbecue, music, and guest speakers. Purchase tickets for $25 each by October 7th. For more information call the church office at 301.762.2288. Heritage Sunday on October 27th will feature historic figures, special music, and a look at the church past and present. We will have one service, at 10:30, on this special day.
