Stacy Field
New Day Preschool Director
Stacy has over 14 years' teaching experience across multiple stages of childhood development. She graduated from Frostburg State University with a degree in Early Childhood Elementary Education, and earned her Master’s degree from Hood College as a Reading Specialist. Stacy taught for MCPS for 11 years. She was a long-term substitute teacher for Head Start and Kindergarten for a year and was a First-Grade teacher for 10 years at Watkins Mill Elementary School.
After the birth of her first daughter, she returned to teach Preschool for 4 years. After her twins were born, she took some time off but continued to be involved in education by volunteering in her twin daughters’ Preschool and Elementary classes. Stacy has also been a substitute at New Day Preschool during this past school year. She is Girl Scout troop leader for her daughters’ Brownie troop.
Stacy believes children learn best through play, and is passionate and committed to the education and social emotional development of children. Stacy lives in Rockville with her husband, three daughters, two cats, a Golden Retriever, and flock of backyard chickens. Stacy is looking forward to her first year as Director working with the children, parents, and staff.
