Lead Pastor

Pastor YouJung Jung is serving as a cross-cultural clergy member of the United Methodist Church. She joins us after ministering to the Prospect-Marvin Chapel congregations. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland and Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC.

Pastor Jung comes to us in a spirit of openness, curiosity and mutual respect. She grew up in South Korea in a pastor’s family. She is excited and grateful to be serving us in God’s name at Rockville United Methodist, and is looking forward to our journey together. She said, “While we may come from different backgrounds and cultures, I believe that our diversity is not a barrier but rather our greatest strength—a tapestry of colors woven together to create a vibrant mosaic of faith and community.”
