Member Spotlight
How well do you know your fellow congregants? Do you feel like RUMC is your family? Sometimes we can get so caught up in our own lives, that we miss an opportunity to be a part of a community. For the next year or so we will be introducing you to each other through Member Spotlight! And we want to hear from you! Who do you want to learn more about! Send us your nominations and we’ll have you all knowing everyone in RUMC by next year!
Jean & Jan Provost
HOW DID YOU MEET?
We met at the Mayflower Hotel in May of 1969, got engaged in June and married in August of the same year, and are coming up on our 50th Anniversary. We’re retired and enjoy our 6 grandchildren, gardening, and music.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY
Our daughter Karen lives in Colorado with 5 kids (3 in college); our son Michael lives in Rockville and has a four year old daughter.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT ROCKVILLE?
We love the diversity and all the various opportunities available. You can find anything you need in Rockville.
WHAT'S YOUR IDEA OF A RELAXING DAY?
We enjoy jigsaw and crossword puzzles and watching MASH and other re-runs with our feet up and good music in the background.
HOW DO YOU SERVE THE CHURCH?
Michael is definitely the most creative, always making up new games to play and stories to tell his sisters at bedtime.
IS THE FAMILY (OR YOU TWO) DOING ANYTHING FUN THIS YEAR?
We will be going to Tulsa for our grandson’s college graduation from Oral Roberts University.
